Director Samir Karnik and much sought after Cinematographer Binod Pradhan have come together to work in Heroes. A particular scene with Salman Khan required him to sit on top of an army truck with the sun setting behind the mountains as a backdrop. In such a situation good lighting is integral if not crucial and since it was a top angle shot the crane had to be maneuvered in order to accommodate the actors and the scenic location.
The scene was set but unfortunately the sun had made other plans and promptly went behind the mountains and the moment was lost. And not being a man to compromise Binod Pradhan refused to take the shot. Samir Karnik rues “By the time the crane was moved and Binod ji was ready the light had gone. Binod ji said its too late to take the shot, I still tried to push him to take the shot but there was no light. I was a little upset that we could not do the shot as it would have been perfect take. But alas nature had other plans”
